Possibly autograph, dated at end of volume: Finitu[m] mart: 14, 1678/9. Imperfect copy with title page missing; supplied from a MS copy, dated 29 March 1680, now in the Bodleian Library.
Folder (MS Am 1259) contains 34 manuscript leaves removed from the end of bound volume titled: Considerations of ye University Oath as applyed by some, against private reading of philosophy. Possibly autograph, dated at end: Finitum August. 12. 1677.
Also known as Compendium Physicae.
Spine title for bound volume: System of Physicks.
Morton taught at Harvard College from 1686 until his death in 1698. His Compendium Physicae was used as a textbook in natural philosophy at Harvard and Yale.
